This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the App.

We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason. We will alert you about any changes by updating the "Effective Date" of this Privacy Policy. You are encouraged to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed of updates.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal Data

We may collect personally identifiable information that you voluntarily provide to us when you:

This information may include: email address (if provided), payment information (processed by Apple), and any other information you choose to provide.

2.2 Usage Data Stored Locally

The following data is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to our servers:

  • Selected apps for blocking (via Apple's Screen Time API)
  • Exercise completion records and statistics
  • Screen time goals and preferences
  • Unlock time balances
  • App usage patterns and history

2.3 Automatically Collected Information

When you use the App, we may automatically collect certain information, including:

  • Device information (model, operating system version, unique device identifiers)
  • App usage analytics (feature usage, session duration, crash reports)
  • Performance data (load times, errors, technical diagnostics)
  • Purchase and subscription information (via Apple's StoreKit)

2.4 Camera and Motion Data

The App uses your device's camera to detect push-up exercises. This data is:

  • Processed entirely on your device using Apple's Vision framework
  • Never recorded, stored, or transmitted
  • Used solely for real-time exercise detection
  • Deleted immediately after processing

Camera access is only active when you explicitly initiate an exercise session. You can revoke camera permissions at any time through your device settings.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the App's core functionality
  • Process your subscription purchases and manage billing
  • Improve, personalize, and expand the App's features
  • Understand and analyze how you use the App
  • Develop new products, services, and features
  • Communicate with you for customer service and support
  • Send you updates, security alerts, and administrative messages
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security vulnerabilities
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

4.1 Third-Party Service Providers

  • Apple Inc. - Payment processing via StoreKit and App Store subscriptions. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
  • Superwall - Analytics, paywall management, and A/B testing. Subject to Superwall's Privacy Policy.
  • Apple Screen Time API - App blocking functionality. Data processed locally on device per Apple's privacy standards.

These service providers are contractually obligated to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us and are prohibited from using it for their own purposes.

4.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court, government agency, or law enforcement). We may also disclose your information to:

  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Protect and defend our rights or property
  • Prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing
  • Protect the personal safety of users or the public
  • Protect against legal liability

4.3 Business Transfers

  • Secure storage using Apple's Keychain and encrypted local storage

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. When we no longer need your information, we will securely delete or anonymize it.

Locally stored data on your device remains until you delete the App or manually clear the data through the App's settings.

7.2 California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

  • Right to delete personal information held by us
  • Right to opt-out of sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information)
  • Right to non-discrimination for exercising your CCPA rights

7.3 European Privacy Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including those listed in Section 7.1 above, plus:

  • Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
  • Right to information about automated decision-making and profiling

7.4 Exercising Your Rights

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under these ages. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately. If we discover that we have collected personal information from a child under the applicable age without parental consent, we will delete that information promptly.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and maintained on servers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where data protection laws may differ. If you are located outside the United States and choose to provide information to us, we transfer your information to the United States and process it there.

By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and other countries where we operate. We will take appropriate measures to ensure your information receives adequate protection in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

10. Do Not Track Signals

Some web browsers have a "Do Not Track" feature that lets you tell websites you do not want to have your online activities tracked. The App does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals. You can opt out of analytics tracking through the App's settings.

11. Third-Party Links

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by us. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. We will notify you of any material changes by:

  • Posting the new Privacy Policy in the App
  • Updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy
  • Sending you a notification (if we have your contact information)

Your continued use of the App after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
